The Bungalow Spa provides customized services. Clients are offered a totally different experience than most have previously encountered. The bungalow is comfortable, unpretentious and fully focused on making sure you are WOWED! This is the case because we respect your time and expect the same of you.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have edema, inflammation, unexplained or undiagnosed sharp pain, are under the influence of narcotics, alcohol or other drug, the practitioner reserves the right to adjust the pressure of your session or refuse to work on you.
Parking: The Bungalow Spa is on the corner of Orange Ave. and 8th St. Parking is free on Orange Ave between 6th and 8th; parking on 8th between Orange Ave and the first alley is 25 cents an hour and free 6pm and after, as well as Sundays and in the residential parking after the alley.
Because clients are seen one at a time, the policies below are strictly adhered:
SCHEDULING: Depending on the the time of year, new clients may be prompted to provide a valid credit card in order to schedule an appointment. If you do no wish to leave a credit card, I am unable to schedule your session. NOTE: If you are not prompted for a card number when scheduling, then disregard. This policy is enforced when we have a high number of no-show clients, during the summer and holidays.
EARLY/LATE APPOINTMENTS: We are happy to see clients before or after listed hours of operation for an added $25. Discounts DO NOT apply toward these type of sessions. Those with gift certificates will still need to pay the additional fee if they want appointments outside regular hours.
PAYMENT: Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and debit cards with logo are accepted for payment. No checks, SpaWeek or other third party certificates.
CANCELLATIONS/RESCHEDULES/LATE CLIENTS: Twelve hours notice is requested for cancellations or rescheduled appointments. Appointments cancelled within that 12 hour window, will be charged the full rate of the scheduled session if your card is on file (unless you are ill, accident, etc.) If you need to reschedule your appointment, every effort is made to honor your request in a speedy matter, however, please contact the spa at least 6-12 hours before your scheduled time to avoid the fee. Clients who are more than 10 minutes late without a courtesy call, will be charged the full rate of their missed session plus a 5% processing fee. WAXING CLIENTS: If you are more than five minutes late, your session will be canceled. If you are using a gift certificate for your appointment and you are no-show or late cancel, your certificate is voided.
Call or text 619.522.0026 BEFORE your scheduled appointment to give your therapist a heads up if you are running late. Your session will not be extended if you arrive late and full payment is expected. Calls at or after your appointment time are considered no-shows and will not be rescheduled. Clients who arrive late or cancel within hours of their scheduled appointment more than twice, will no longer be able to make appointments at The Bungalow. First-time clients who miss their appointment without calling will not be rescheduled.
All of the above is a non-issue if you respect your practitioners time, which is very much appreciated.
ETIQUETTE: The Bungalow is a private studio and the days are usually booked full with appointments. FOR MASSAGE/BODY SUGARING/ FACIALS/CHEMICAL PEELS: arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled time.
BRAZILIAN SUGARING/WAXING CLIENTS: You must arrive with the areas to be sugared or waxed clean and free of debris. Any extra cleansing/grooming needed in order to perform the requested service will result in a double fee.
GIFT CERTIFICATES/PACKAGES: Certificates and packages can be purchased online or by appointment at the spa. They have no cash value (i.e. 90 minute certificate cannot be used for a 60 minute massage in order to get cash back) and are non-refundable but can be transferred to another with notice. Packages are non-refundable and can be used by others, with notice.
